Point Guard - Tyler Ennis
Shooting Guard - Trevor Cooney
Small Forward - C.J. Fair
Power Forward - Rakeem Christmas
Center - DeJuan Coleman

Small Lineup

PG - Ennis
SG - Conney
SF - Grant
PF- Fair
C - Christmas

This is as per G-Mac, who was given the question who is the projected lineup this year. TK99. What do you guys think? Should it stay or should some guys get moved around

I'd be more interested in who receives what minutes at the 2.

I could care less who starts as long as we scrap the stupid "token starter" routine. Judging by that lineup, doesn't seem like we will be scrapping that anytime soon.

Jimmy playing games with the starters. These will be the finishers:

PG - Ennis
2G - Cooney, but it could easily end up being Mike G.
SF - CJ
PF - Jerami
C - BMK

This is more than likely correct. I think when its real late, we have a decent lead and they are just fouling us we may see the small line with MikeG at the 3 and Grant or Fair kind of half/assing it at center since the other team is probably shooting 3's anyways.

Why do you want to scrap the "token starter"? Especially this season when the token start would go to the upper classman Rak and help bolster minutes to what really are 3 centers. This years token start for Rak really boils down to minutes to Rak at the expense of the frosh Roberson. What's the problem with that?

I like it because it helps JB play multiple people. I thought before implementing the token starter JB was hard pressed to substitute and used it mostly as a means to control the starters from fouling out. Now there are other considerations.
I also think JB's new trend may have had a hand in helping increase our level of recruiting.

That seems perfect to me, and if Christmas isn't the player we all hope he finally turns into, there's always dependable Baye Keita to be the rim protector with the Smaller (I wouldn't really call it "Small") line-up.

Don't look at it as "token starter". Why he does it is he thinks that player can help us if he plays to his potential, and Boeheim gives them some run. If they stay on the floor really comes down to not making mistakes, and doing your job. Boeheim is easy to play for, if you understand what he wants.

The starting lineup for #Syracuse tonight against Holy Family: Ennis, Cooney, Fair, Coleman and XMas.

Token starter is a misnomer, IMO. It seems that JB waits for the opposition to put second string players in and then throws in a young superstar. It gives us a huge advantage, especially on the offensive end.

Wow! When you look at the projected line-ups for starters and finishers, they all look good! We are so loaded, it's just incredible. Have to trust JB will mix it up to get the best match ups for the win.
