With the 2021 season behind us already, it's time to start breaking down what 2022 has in store.

Obviously, this is very fluid based on who transfers where.

Opponents of ours that are ranked:
#6 Notre Dame
#8 NC State (wow)
#11 Clemson
#14 Wake Forest

Mandel has Pitt at #11, Schlabach doesn't even have them top 25.

Surprised Purdue didn't crack the top 25 or just outside, with their QB returning. I'm sure there's another WR ready to step up.

ND has too many question marks to be #6. I doubt NC State ends up Top 20. Clemson is probably fair at 11 only because their D might take a hit. Wake I can't see being Top 20 unless their DC turns miracles. Pitt will definitely take a step back.

USC is ranked #22 coming off a 4-8 season with 6 offense, 6 defense players returning and top two QBs having transferred out. I understand that Lincoln Riley's boosts their profile, but this is the stuff that drives me nuts. Why should they be ranked at all with that profile? Too much projection based on potential scenarios.
