The conference has four games this weekend to try and break this horrific streak.

First up, UVA takes on Illinois at home. UVA are 10 point favorites. The Illini took down Nebraska but then turned around and lost to UT-San Antonio.

Second, Pitt travels to Rocky Top. Both teams are 1-0 and Pitt is a 3.5 point favorite. UT thumped Bowling Green 38-6, and while they are not highly rated this year I'm slightly surprised this game isn't closer to a pick 'em since it's at Neyland.

Next up, the good guys vs. Rutgers. As we know, Rutgers boat raced Temple 61-14. They currently are 2.5 point favorites.

And last up we have Rutgers South taking on Mississippi State in Starkville. NC State is a 2.5 point favorite. They looked impressive in their win against a hapless USF team, while the Bulldogs looked less than stellar in their one-point victory over Louisiana Tech.

If somehow no ACC team wins this weekend, the narrative about the ACC balloons to epic proportions, much like the size of Paul Finebaum's dome.

Personally, I think NC State and UVA win. My heart says SU wins, but I honestly think it's a toss-up. I think the same can be said about the Pitt game.

Either way, four solid P5 matchups for the conference this weekend.

What did that anonymous ACC coach say about us? That we could do well if the rest of the league is down? Bring it on!

I can see 4-0. but doubt it

UV should win
NC st if they are what people are talking up should win
Pitt/Tenn no idea
SU-Rutgers . If we can run the ball some I think we can be fine and win this game.. Also like that if it goes a bit south early we have a pretty good QB thats a bit different to put in and try to change the flow of the game.. I dont we get down 2 TDs and let this ride out to the half.. If we dont see something in the first 2-3 drives he is gonna flip the switch

We have been horrible in out of conference P5 games for a long time.

This game is on the ACCN at 11 a.m. Our game is slated for a 2 p.m. start...on the ACCN as well. This is likely going to be a problem as most college games typically run in the 3.5 hour range. It that holds true, it's possible that live TV coverage may not be until deep into the 1st Q, and possibly beyond if that game runs into OT, etc. Ugh! :(

Usually when this happens they toss the new game (in this case ours) to ESPNU or ESPNews until the completion of the first game.

People are talking so much smack about our conference after last weekend. Need to bounce back here. The criticism isn’t fair as Bama, ND and Georgia are no slouches, but after seeing this stat.. yeah that’s rough.

We better get to see all of it one way or another! I’m cutting into my sleep (work overnights) to wake up early for it.

i believe the acc network games go a little quicker than the espn ones

Tennessee is a tough team to figure out so far. Brand new coach with a new system. They seemed to impose their will physically on the ground against bowling green but looked shaky in the passing game.

I think we are the only ones who win.

Pitt doesn’t recruit well enough to win that road game when they are expected to. UT will want that game more.

I see Illini doing well as dogs again like they did vs Nebby.

NC st needs that game to be at home. Don’t bet on the ACC against the SEC it’s a losing proposition and ACC team isn’t at home laying chalk here is crazy.

I don't know if I'll ever say this again but man do I hope PITT wins, and for that matter I hope NCST pulls it out as well, Finebaum wouldn't have much to say monday morning I can tell you that. Too bad nobody from the ACC gets Vandy, that would surely be a victory.

I don't think it's as bad as people want to make it out to be. Yes, the ACC lost big OOC games, but ... Georgia needed a defensive TD to beat Clemson and FSU took ND to overtime, even though there were times during the game when an under reconstruction FSU looked really bad. That can't be ignored.

Based on last week, all these teams are going to be major problems for us:
FSU
Clemson
VA Tech
NC State
BC
Pitt

I did not anticipate all the hype in the conference for 3 of these teams: Pitt, BC, NC State
We need to win all of our out of conference games to have a shot at a bowl.

Clemson we knew would be good. FSU and VA Tech had no hype but looked good against ND and NC. The schedule is looking more intimidating than I thought

We all know Pitt will make a stupid mistake, completely outplay Tennessee and lose.

Virginia is going to beat Illinois.

ACC really needs NC State to smash Mississippi State.

If we beat Rutgers then we can get to 6 wins.
