They are mostly football schools, with some might-as-well-be Hoops-only, like Indiana and Iowa, who have had their moments in basketball but not in football, for the most part. And they have some bottom dwellers who don't matter at all, except once in a blue moon - Northwestern, Minnesota, and soon Rutgers. Their membership is all over the place and they can't stop making money. Then look at the SEC, yes, it's a football conference, but what are Vandy and Kentucky doing in there?
