There's a year long evaluation process that determines who plays on game day. Decisions could be made from bad peformance in practice, lack of understanding of concepts or playbook, injury prone, off season issues, bad behavior, being selfish and and free styling. All the stuff effects team. It effects the 11 guys on the field. You are changing the narrative now. We are not talking about Dino personality and game management.
