Trevor Cooney did not look overly excited during warm-ups, and I now understand why.  He will have a long season redshirting on the bench, but with a year of practices,  he will be dynamite next year.

Melo is not only getting up and down the court better, he is more active and is playing a lot smarter.
Brandon needs Cooney to help him correct his shooting motion, which seems to  have changed.
Dion is strong going to the hoop.
Southerland is playing a solid all-around game.
Keita was open and alone under the hoop several times but totally ignored.
Scoop is clearly the leader of the team.
Mookie seems to have accepted his role and did not look unhappy.
Christmas will be good, but he needs some time.
MCW will not play during crunch time.  Opponents are seeing his liability with the ball and playing him in his jock.  I thought he was body-fouled several times today but no calls made.  If that continues, he will lose the ball a lot.
