Fun list. Not sure I’d agree with the rankings, but it’s an impossible task.

Cant believe no one has posted this. i don't have access but based on headline Melo is #1. And its about time he gets the real accolades he deserves. People really dont realize how good he was for us in 2003. It should be a 30 for 30.

Ranking men’s college basketball’s top 25 players of the 2000s: Carmelo Anthony takes No. 1
oops missed the original post.

but anyways, seriously melo is barely even ranked #1 of freshmen in these kinds of rankings.

But in hindsight his 2003 was remarkable. and he was a work horse. and he consistently came through whenever. Love finally seeing non cuse people understand how special his season was.

i saw a stat 1 time (not sure if it has changed since) but syracuse 2003 was the only team in a certain time frame (a long time) to win a title having less than 3 nba players on it.

I did some research all the way back to 2001. this is the only team to match. Still have no idea how they won the title.

The way I see it, the (copyrightable) substance of the article is the provided criteria and the paragraph of explanation for each player. The list itself is fair game. I'm kind of surprised that no one from The Athletic hasn't just reproduced the list in a social media post to provoke public discussion.

I saw this one earlier today…

UConn with great NCAAA success and Duke with more players, more hype and less success; only one UNC and no surprise, only one Big10. Lastly, they got #1 right.
