I guess when your on the edge of irrelevance because of shifts in Conferences, it might tend to make you more sensitive to the failings of other programs. Rutgers fans have always seen Penn State as one of their biggest problems as Penn State has treated South Jersey as it's own exclusive domain for football recruiting. In one of the most curious of all moves in Realignment history, Rutgers eschewed joining the Big East in the early 1980's so that they could "stay associated with Penn State". At that date, Rutgers was more associated with Lehigh and Colgate than they were Penn State. Can you imagine Penn State doing anything because it might mean they wouldn't be associated with Rutgers? This award will stay with The Scarlet Nation until some other group outdoes them in moral outrage and transparent self-interest. [/QUOTE]
