Watching Ennis/Coney the last couple of games feels like watching re-runs of Hart/Cipolla in 96-97.

Ennis looks a lot like FR Jason Hart. I believe he has a lot more upside than FR Hart, but he needs to show it.

I have zero confidence in Ennis right now...granted it's still early and he is still getting used to the college game. The free throw shooting drove me up a wall tonight!

What's your take on Gbinjie. I love what he brings to the table but I like Cooney also. Definitely only going to go with the three guards.

I thought ennis was great down the stretch minus those 2 free throws. He was the only one creating his own shot

I think we have seen the plans for our guard play--various combinations of all three.

I actually have more confidence in Gbinjie than any of the other guards right now. He's not spectacular, but he seems more consistently solid. I thought he made several good plays near the end of the game. Coney has had some moments, and boy did he hit a big three tonight when we really, really needed a score.

Its a work in progress. I think there is a lot of upside with Ennis but he doesn't have any confidence in his own ability to break down the defense right now. He shot the ball well last game but he hasn't created anything for his teammates for 2 straight games now.

I don't know why Cooney's not getting more run. I get that you need to give Ennis a longer leash than normal, especially because he's the only true PG on the roster, but Cooney is a lot more valuable than people give him credit for.

He's very good at playing the passing lanes, a la Andy Rautins, and he plays within the flow of the offense. I don't know why you give him the lions share of the minutes at the 2 guard, and have Gbinije spell Ennis.

IMO, Ennis and Gbinije should never be on the court at the same time. They've both shown to be very offensively challenged at this point in their court time together.

Ennis will be much better in February and March. He's just starting to become more aggressive driving. Defensively I think Gbinije and Cooney are our best at the top of the zone right now. I like how Cooney plays the passing lanes. The defense held them without any points like the last 10 or so minutes.

JB subbed Cooney/GBinije offense/defense, but on the defensive end, I think I'd rather see the two of them together . . . and on offense, too, tonight.

Im with mason on mike g. We need him and until ennis gets comfortable I likw seeing him get more minutes. You can see where he picked up some things from mcw. He also looks to attack vs deferring so much.

It was interesting to watch JBs presser. He said Ennis was trying to do things last night that he hadn't tried before even in practice.
