The bad news is the basketball team lost. The good news is

It's virtually the same - SU football made $19.1 million and SU basketball made $18.3 million in 2011 (the most recent year I could find).

Basically what that means is that during one of our worst stretches of football, it still outgained basketball during one of its best stretches.

Great point - the football program is the difference between being in the ACC, and being Colgate.

There's a difference between being a high level football playing school and being defined as a "football school."
