The last paragraph says it all about rutgirls athletics.

"As Mr. Delany negotiates new subscription rates for the Big Ten Network, Ms. Hermann, the athletic director at Rutgers, knows her objective. “We have to make our contribution to the Big Ten,” she said, “and get cable companies to pay for the Big Ten Network out here.”

Was thinking the same thing Bees. Big 10 could give a rats a$$ about Rutgers, they just want eyeballs on the tv's. Rutgers is just a cable tv company to the Big 10! Too damn funny

The BIg managed to get a leg into the Eastern Markets. Granted, it's Buttgers. But they are looking forward to getting more exposure for PSU! Ohio State, and Michigan in the northeast. It doesn't give them a leg up not he ACC, but it means more competition for eyeballs in the northeast and DC.
