Wow, this is a pretty great article, that brings back memories for me. I ran across a link to your site from the independent Holy Cross sports website, www.crossports.com . I was at the 1957 game in Archibald Stadium that day, as a star struck 10 year old, Syracuse kid whose Dad went to Holy Cross. I was even introduced to Dr. Eddie Anderson at an HC Alumni gathering by my Dad after the game. I remember a blustery but sunny day that was perfect for fall football. Tommy Greene was relentless. Holy Cross went on to beat Syracuse again the next year at Fitton Field in Worcester, as the last team to defeat the Orange before they went on to become undefeated National Champions in 1959. I have been a Holy Cross fan ever since the 1957 game, and went on to be a student there, but I remain a Syracuse fan as well. I am also looking forward to the upcoming game, and hope the Purple can acquit themselves well!
