Is just really not good. Watching Pastner and Brey the last two games to further solidified my belief that Wildhack is going to have a great opportunity - the ride to being one of the best coaches in this league is very short. He can't screw this up.

I think they are good coaches who were left behind by the change of dynamics of the game.
Recruiting went hyper crazy after being just crazy, and transferring plus early entry doesn't really allow time for good coaches to build a player over the course of their time on campus - let alone build a team and program in the traditional sense.
So much has changed since even 2016 or 2018.
These guys just haven't evolved enough or fast enough to keep up.
The money in the SEC and Big Ten is allowing their programs that have coaches who are in tune with the new era to thrive.
Look at Rutgers - no way they'd be doing what they are doing now if this was four years ago. But they hired the right coach and have poured endless resources into him and his program and they are about to pass us, if they have not already, in terms of a program in the 2020s decade.
You're absolutely right, Wildhack and his choice for next coach will make or break the program moving forward.
