I thought this was a good light piece to cover some of what I was saying.
Most of the images were too large, but below are a handful of renderings for new or recent stadium designs.

And at the bottom,an old one, Shea Stadium in this case, for perspective. These often wanted a final design as they were hand painted rather than using computers, but the idea is the same. A rendering is something that often tries to show a desired energy or life. It tries to give an idea of a gameday atmosphere and express a big idea for a project. Often they are field views during a game, or in a plaza for per-game. That is typically done for fund raising. If all funds are raised, and there is very little being done to enhance the experience (as is the case with the current roof replacement focus) then there is little to gain and a lot to lose in the way of donors, or public opinion.
