My career has been very interesting. Industrial Design includes Corporate Identification, (logos), for very large corporations small ones and small business, even individuals, smart freelancers who operate by themselves and realize a great logo is very important in attracting the eye to what they do, product design, packaging design, literature design, concept design, naming, brand identity, corporate signage, web design and more - it's all aesthetic based and back when I had class from 9-5 in the basement of Archbold Gymnasium for six years it's a 5 year major with a thesis but I was married and living in married student housing had to tack on another year to finish all the credits. Hard work but all creative and rewarding. I interned during one summer for G.E at Carrier circle they had a design studio there doing televisions. G.E. flew me to Louisville, KY and hired me and a design consultant firm hired me in Farmington, CT west of Hartford, CT. Loved every minute still do. If you are familiar with the York Peppermint Pattie logo and package I designed that 40 years ago for Hershey (my 15 minutes of fame) along with the gun manufacturer Browning Fire Arms Stag with doe in white space inside him. The company that owns Browning is based in Belgium so I travelled there and Utah were they are now made in the U.S. Also for 7 years was the Director of Graphic and Product design for Bell Telephone in CT. Designing phones and the CES show booth in Vegas. Much time in Vegas as CES is held each Jan. They produced the phones in Hong Kong and Taiwan so spent a lot of time there and in the air - 15 hours flights were not really fun. But I loved it all. Been all over the US especially in California designing racquetball rackets for Ektelon and the colorful graphics that go on them every year for ten years. So, Europe, Asia, most of the USA - it's been great and still is. I hope we get a lighting company who can light up a Crown Truss with light that will be amazing which this entire project will have been. I digress. :)
