What is it about the state of Massachusetts that their baseball & football woes generate out of perceived curses coming from the Empire State? Cue the Boston Red Sox 1918-2004 an 86 year period of time where the Bambino's departure caused interminable suffering to the New England area fans and the subsequent naming of the cause of it "The Curse of the Bambino".

Cue, 'The Helmet Catch" in 2007 by New York Giant and former Syracuse star David Tyree which ultimately led to the loss of an undefeated season and the continuation of what has resulted in a seven year drought of Super Bowl championships.

The glorious feelings of championships won in 2001, 2003 & 2004 are now but distant memories to Patriot fans, thanks, in large part to that miraculous catch that has now morphed into the phrase, "The Curse of David Tyree."

You have to understand, New england fans are long suffering. As long as you don't count the 3 pats super bowl wins. The two Red Sox world series wins. The celts and bruins wins. Other than that Mrs Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?

I *cking hate Rich Garven. I grew up with the Worcester Telegram and can't stand him. I've never heard one person in Mass call anything the "Curse of David Tyree". Dumbest thing he's ever wrote.
