when’s the last time we’ve had this much concentrated talent at these two positions?

Not to mention WR as well.

I think the real question is, whens the last time this team fielded so much draftable talent? There’s several guys I could see earning there way to play on Sundays between these three positions alone.

Trill
Cisco
CF
Adams (still more to see but damn he’s impressive)
Moe (could have a breakout year and not too many miles on him)
Taj Harris
N. Johnson

And we really havent even gotten to see much of Queeley and Sharod who I’ve heard rave reviews about during their sessions and practices. A lot of very, very exciting talent, size and speed on our team right now. Thank you Dino.

Have to include Iffy, Tishy Jackson, Riley and, now, Courtney Jackson in these conversations... incredible time to be an SUFB fan

All this confirms to me is how many players are on football teams. I think last year I found out how many scholarship players there are and it shocked me. Don't we have like 15 wideouts?

It seems like forever since we had a decent secondary. You could always guarantee that the opposing QB would have a field day with our secondary. How many times have no-name QBs set personal records against us? Too many. Those days appear to be over. Having an effective pass-rush for a change helps.

Off the top of my head...

Jackson
Jordan
N. Johnson
S. Johnson
Johnson jr
Harris
Hendrix
RTB
Riley
Queeley
Lutz
C. Jackson

Im sure I’m missing more.

Agreed. Pretty incredible.

In my opinion, the absolute sure draft kids in these groups are Trill, Cisco & Harris. Adams is a wild card -- haven't seen enough on him yet, but could be.

Also think Iffy is a draftable kid based on measurables. Queeley too just strictly on size/speed. But exciting for sure. And the others, who knows. I'm no NFL draft expert. Frederick could be a draftable guy based on production and skill. Neal & Johnson, don't know. Might be too small.

I love all the enthusiasm, but -

MOST of those guys are NOT gonna see the NFL, unless they buy a ticket.

Adams - 3rd or 4th best RB at Oklahoma.
But now he’s NFL bound?

Queeley??
He’s made 1 catch, in a Spring game, for his entire career.
Guys his size & speed are literally a dime a dozen at the P5 level.
AET & Ish had size, speed, and production - and neither got drafted.

Neal & Johnson. Zero point zero chance for Moe, much as I love him and as solid a college player as he is.

You wanna see young players who look like future NFL’ers?
Check out Clemson’s roster.

We’ve improved by leaps and bounds, but we’re still not in the same area code as the factories in terms of talent.

Oklahoma’s third or 4th best rb’s are still mid 4 star recruits that’d likely have a chance at a 1,000 yard year elsewhere.

Admittedly Moe I think is way on the outside looking in, but with our offense him and adams each have a shot at being our first 1,000 yarder since jerome. You get 1,000 yards in the ACC and you’re going to receive looks for the NFL draft. Moe quietly came close last year.

Johnson’s not as undersized as riley and will have at least a good shot to surpass all of Erv’s achievements on the hill. If Brisly saw a chance at Sunday’s, its not out of the realm of possibility Nykheim could progress to that as well.

Also, nobody’s in the same area code as bama, clemson, OSU and Georgia.

RB's are a dime a thousand. It's the most fungible position in the NFL.

And 1,000 yards, as hard as it's been for us to hit as a program for a while now, doesn't actually mean anything. Unless you are an otherworldly talent at RB, you aren't getting drafted in today's NFL.

I apologize for being the wet blanket reality bomb on this thread.

We have massively upgraded the quality and quantity of RB's and DB's - nobody can deny that.
But what are the odds that ALL of the guys getting mentioned are actually going to have a shot at the NFL?

Our OL depth is improving as well

What we need to add depth is along DL, TE, and QB

Losing Chance Amie hurt QB depth, and we don't know what we have in Summers yet potentially.

Our lack of DL (interior) will show next year - it's. An area that needs addressing this class and next.

We do not have any TE depth and those we have are not true TEs. The fact we were moving Rex there shows we lack depth at the position. There is no Roland Williams / Kaseem Sinceno depth on the roster at the position.

We had Kelly, Gedney, Chenoweth, Sinceno, Williams, Brominski in succession at TE. That's a great run.

Trill, Cisco and CF? I’d say the odds are favorable.

I’d be willing to bet at least one of our current running backs heading into 2019’s season will at least garner draft interest if not be chosen.

WR is more dificult to tell. The only wideout right now that may develop into a pro that I’ve seen is Harris. Johnson certainly has the opportunity if he exploits what our system offers a slot receiver with good hands. His issue has been his hands though.

OK, let's say I'll concede CF, Cisco, and Trill - that's still only 3 guys, and over 2-3 years of NFL drafts.

RB's - I'd be willing to take that bet. Easy $.
But must be drafted vs. NOT drafted, "garner interest" is too nebulous a term.

And here's the thing - I would GLADLY pay up to be proven wrong here.

As for the overall team and future NFL draft prospects, I'd say the future is very bright!!
Would be shocked if both DE's don't get drafted, along w/ Fredrick, and Das Hoof.

Harris is getting drafted, barring injury/off field issue. He's a stud. AET had drops and very little wiggle, Ish had no speed and very little wiggle with great hands.

We have more draftable players than we have had in many years. Since late 90s. Just because they're not 1st round talent doesn't mean they can't get drafted.

Most likely scenario: talent is significantly better at both spots and only 2-3 get drafted

Definatly see Trill, Cisco, Robinson,Coleman, iffy,Fredrick, I think I got his name right for once,Foster as a late round maybe after draft nfl kid, Adams definatly has a chance but we will know more later and Harris. Maybe Nykeim. Also TD. Adams as a lineman late rounds. We have a lot of draftable kids on this team though and they will prove it. I am missin a few and yes it’s not Clemson roster yet but soon my friend soon.
