Is Dino right that our high count of returning starters is a function of injuries in 2016?  Maybe -- but only in the secondary, where we have a lot of players with a smattering of starting experience.  You might double-count Ellison, Williams, Hudson and Dowels -- even though they aren't starting in the current depth chart. Or count 4 returning DL starters, 3 LBs, 2 DBs (Cordy & Fredrick), plus Valdez & Martin who have extensive starting experience in the MAC.  Not too shabby.

Dino has also said the offense might not take off in games 4 to 6, as in past HC stops, due to our many injuries in 2016.  BGSU lost its starting QB in game 2 of 2014, and he was excellent in 2015 when the BGSU offense came together.  In comparison, Dungey lost only 3 games.   We lost two linemen who were graduating in any event, and those injuries allowed Adams & Byrne to starting experience.   Custis missed the entire season, and Butler missed half.  That's it.
