- That wasn't the full California team and we struggled to beat them. They didn’t have 6-10 235 Richard Solomon, who had 22 points and 14 rebounds against us last year. Even so, they out-rebounded us by 4.
- JB was complaining about how we let them get in the lane too much. That’s shown by the fact that two big men got in foul trouble: Jerami Grant, who fouled out and Rakeem Christmas, who wound up with 4.
- DaJuan Coleman, after a couple of strong games, hardly played. Our strongest and best offensive center attempted no shots and scored no points after going 8 for 9 and scoring 23 points in 34 minutes in the previous two games. Meanwhile, Christmas and Keita totaled 8 points
- CJ Fair again shot poorly, 5 for 17 although he had only one turnover. CJ is now 14 for 45, (31%) in his last three games.
