- Jesse Edwards continues to develop but he’s got learn that he’s 7 feet tall and thus doesn’t need to jump so much to contest shots. He fouled out for the third time this year. This was the first such game we managed to win.
- Cole Swider hit some big shots but he also missed 10 out of 15 shots. As Jim Boeheim said, if they are going to guard the Boeheims and Joe, Cole’s going to be wide open and most of his shots were. He was 0 for 2 from inside the arc and he’s capable of moving inside and helping us there. He also had 5 turnovers. Nobody else in the game had more than 2.
- If only Sym Torrence could score. He was 0 for 3 from the field in 12 minutes and hit 1 of 2 from the foul line. With either him or Frank Anselem in the game, we have guys who aren’t scorers so the other team can go 5 on 4 or 5 on 3 if they are both in.
- I hope Benny Williams enjoyed his vacation in Tallahassee.
- Villanova will be on another level than what we’ve seen.
- The hottest flame forges the strongest steel but we are still a bit molten.
