- Florida State was a bug. Duke is a windshield. What happened today will likely have nothing to do with what happens tomorrow.
- The big key is: what, if anything are they going to do regarding Buddy and what can we do without him? That clip is going to be played over and over again, nationwide the league will have a hard time ignoring that. The ACC commentators seemed to think a suspension is a done deal.
- Florida State, like North Carolina two years ago, played as if they weren’t into it and, once the lead became insurmountable, they just wanted the game to end. Duke will be the opposite of that.
- Bourama Sidibie, who had been playing well, got into early foul trouble and left the heroics to Frank Anselem. Does Frank have any more rabbits in his hat? (Does he even have a hat?)
- John Bol Ajak appeared to injure a knee late in the game. Welcome to the club, John Bol!
