-          I had hoped our drives would get the thin Jayhawks in foul trouble. They did, somewhat but not enough. Their two centers each wound up with 4 fouls. So did their shooter, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, (I used copy and paste on that name). Their worst starter, Newman and two reserves had 3 fouls each. But it didn’t have a big impact on the game.

-          We are a very good defensive team from the arc in. But we continue to assume that a great three point shooter can’t hit from 25 feet so we don’t have to cover them out there. We let Toledo’s Tre’Shaun Fletcher go 5 for 6 from out there, Maryland’s Kevin Huerter got 7 for 9 and Kansas’ Devonte' Graham go 7 for 11. Without Fletcher and Huerter’s threes, those would have been easy wins. Without Graham’s threes, this would have been a close game.
