- We just beat a team that has now lost 7 of its last 8 games. Louisville was 10-4 at one point. Imagine what their board is like.
- Jesse Edwards has been great but these last two teams had no center. Jesse was being guarded by a 5-11 guard at one point today.
- Joe was really, really, good except when he had his usual really, really, bad turnovers. On one play he circled around the defense, attacked the baseline, got trapped under the basket and passed the ball under the basket to a Louisville player. Joe does everything in a big way.
- Symir Torrance is already being called “Sy”. It would be a good nickname for Benny Williams: Benny ‘Sigh’ Williams, because that’s what he make us do. I’ve never seen a player that highly rated be so unproductive. I’m glad we don’t have to stand and clap until benny scores. He played 13 minutes and was 0 for 4, all of them awkward, off-balance shots. He did get to the line and hit 3 of 4 free throws. But he had no rebounds, even though he had golden chances for several of them.
- We’re putting on a show but I wonder what will happen when we play one of those physical defensive things that make our pretty passes and shots so difficult. It was just a couple of weeks ago that we scored 59 points on Duke and 53 on Pittsburgh. I wonder if we got back to that again if we play a team that really gets on us.
