- We faced a program that had bottomed out and is on its way back up. We're still headed downward.

- Pat Kelsey said he wanted his team to “grow old” and he has a lot of players in their mid-20’s. But so do we. Their ‘old’ guys’ are better than ours.

- Our combination of bad defense and turnovers makes it difficult to win these games. The physical absence of one of our stars, (Donnie Freeman) and the statistical absence of another (JJ Starling), (1 for 7, 4 points, 6 turnovers), makes it impossible to even compete.

- Chuckie Hepburn came in averaging 30% from three and went 6 for 10. WE left a mot of shooters open but they still have to make them and they did.

- Lucas Taylor, who had hit 11 of his last 19, treys was 0 for 6 from the field overall and didn’t score.

The coaching is poor, but the lack of ACC level players is startling. Our roster looks like a poor mid major. We play below the rim with no ball handlers, shooters or anyone with a semblance of playing defense. Don’t even talk about how poor their defensive transition is. We just let guards back us down with no effort to try to physically move them out of the lane. I’ve seen high school teams play with more physicality. Tonight was an embarrassment.
