- Like I always say: you want two things: to win and to think you’re going to win the next one, too. We really didn’t look any better than in our defeats and Connecticut, which is rallying after some embarrassing early performances, would surely beat us on Monday if this is all we’ve got.

- Ugly stat #1: A team that launched 39 three pointers outscored us in the paint, 26-12.

- Ugly stat #2: Tyler Roberson is 0 for 11 from the field in his last 3 games. He’s scored 2 points in 45 minutes.

- Ugly stat #3: We got out-rebounded for the third straight game, 3341. By North Florida. We are minus 30 on the boards in those games.

- Ugly stat #4: We allowed their only real scoring threat, Dallas Moore, to get off 19 shots and score 30 points. Nothing makes a coach more angry than when we don’t cover the oppositon’s best shooter.

- Ugly Stat #5: Our star, Tyler Lydon, was 2 for 9 and scored 6 points.

- Ugly State #6: John Gillon has 8 assists and 7 turnovers in his last three games and has attempted only 7 shots in 59 minutes. He does have 3 steals. Those are the things he does. He doesn’t rebounds and blocked shots.

- Ugly stat #7: Bench scoring: North Florida 14 Syracuse 1

- Ugly stat #8: From 10:39 left in the first half to 3:59 left, he had 9 possessions, which resulted in 7 missed shots (including 3 lay-ups), and 3 turnovers. The lead went from 20-9 to 20-16.

- Ugly stat #9: We led 56-32 with 12:07 left in the second half. In those 12 minutes, North Florida – NORTH FLORIDA- scored 39 points against us, a rate that would have gotten them 130 points for an entire game. They closed to within 77-71, a 21-39 run, a few days after Florida waxed this team 91-60.

- That’s enough ugliness for one evening.

Aah, you know what? It's only a game.

To quote the late great DouglasAdams, Don't Panic.

The explanation for Ugly fact #1 is that North Florida had 17 offensive rebounds.

Getting a real uneasy feeling about this team.

downside 1. we're not gonna shoot 56 % from three all season.
downside 2. this was north florida.
