- Why is a team that is erratic at best from the arc shooting 32 threes of 67 shots?

- One impact of this is that we only got 13 free throw attempts. Maybe it doesn’t matter because we only hit 61.5% of them, (Eddie Lampkin seemed to always be at the line). If we had as attempts as Pitt did, we’d have made 13 of them at that rate. That’s 5 more points in a four point loss. It’s not the refs: It’s that we are settling for threes too much.

- We only had 11 turnovers but Pittsburgh only had three. We used to force turnovers…we used to get to the line…we used to play defense…we used to dunk the ball.

- Jyare Davis scored 5 early points and then disappeared. (Is he really 6-7?)

- Kyle Cuffe, after scoring 9 points in 15 minutes again Clemson, scored 0 points in 9 minutes in this one. Jaquan Carlos had 2 points in 14 minutes. We have too many players who make their presence felt in one game and disappear in the next.

Downside. In reds presser he said we were not tough enough to make plays when it mattered. How about when we had a nice lead in the 1st half and had about 5 turnovers and a bunch of poor sets, bad substitution patterns. He was smiling when we made mistakes. No McCloud for the season why did we keep him? Would like to see 5 minutes per half to clog the lane and block a few shots.

1000 likes. Great to have you back.

We take threes because we are unorganized and not disciplined enough to run sets. Path of least resistance, firing a 3. Davis, Cuffe and everyone else aren't good night in and night out. They have flashes and may have a good half or even game. However they eventually settle to what they are ..not good.

This!!!!! We had a nice lead in the 1st half and did not capitalize on that lead. We played nice defense but could not score and settled for Jayir Davis chucking up 3s. He should not take another 3 this year IMHO. In both cases in the 1st half he had nobody withing 8 feet. Dribble in and get closer to the basket for a shot or a pass if someone comes at you and potentially a rebound if you miss. We are a team that scores in the paint. Lets get to it. Not one coach of a top 25 team subs when the going is good, put the other team down and then sub. The pattern established is to please the players. I'm certain players would be happier on a winning team.

Red is doing the NBA substitution pattern with this talent base. Not certain why. It worked last year cause we had talent on the 2nd team. (bunch of malcontents LOL, but talented). He is playing to his system b ut its not showing results. We lack a 3rd scorer after JJ and Lampkin. I thought we had 3 & 3/4 coming into the season with JJ, Bell, Lamplkin and Freeman but really we have 1.5 now with Freeman out. We have become too one dimensional and without the ability to throw in the entry pass (accounted for about 10 Turnovers a game) both JJ and Lampkin can be focused on and grind out offence to a halt.

Yep, that's exactly what it seems to me. Heaving up a 3 is easy. It's quick and requires little work. It's also short sighted and lacks discipline.
