- Whatever you think of Terrel Hunt as a player you have to feel deeply for a senior, coming off missing half his junior season with a broken leg and then sustaining an Achilles tendon injury, (“it just popped out on him”) in the first quarter of his first game of his last year. Coach seemed pessimistic that Terrel could come back this season, even though he didn’t specifically address whether he might play again this year. I guess he could get a medical redshirt. But by next year the job just might belong to somebody else.

- We certainly put up good numbers but I’ve got to say that I was not that impressed with our starting line, which is full of veteran players playing a bad FCS team. I thought we would dominate up front but there were too many early plays where runs went nowhere or defenders leaked into the backfield on passing or misdirection plays.

- It certainly was disappointing to see the offense start its first two possessions with penalties and get no first downs in its first three possessions, two of them after turnovers. It looked like a very long season was coming up, (as it still might be).

- I haven’t heard why but Devante McFarland, supposedly our #1 running back, didn’t play and Erv Phillips, who was having a big game, sat out the second half with an unstated injury, (he was reported to be on the sidelines with an ice bag on a leg so it was nothing like Hunt’s injury, (where he was helped off the field and wound up on crutches).

- Rhode Island might have been the worst team ever to come into the Dome. We know nothing…nothing!!!

biggest down side is the ol they were barely mediocre against a horrible team

i found the wideouts to be far less than stellar. unless you count blocking down field . in particular don cornelius had butter hands.
a young QB is gonna need all the help he can get from the wrs. most disappointing lot in a lopsided game. stretch the damn field!
