- Winning = Good. Losing = Bad. - Did Tennessee really look like the #7 team in the country? - Judah Mintz had trouble getting the calls that are the key to his game and missed his first seven shots. Even when he got to the line he had uncharacteristic problems getting the ball in the basket, (he would up 6 out of 10 and 4 for 14 from the floor). He had only two assists in 26 minutes. He was limited to that by first half foul trouble. - Chris Bell scored but didn’t rebound, (1 in 33 minutes after 0 in 33 minutes in the last game). Justin Taylor didn’t score, (at all: he was 0 for 4 in 28 minutes and never got to the line) but he led us in rebounding and had a couple of steals. Together they’d make a heck of a forward. - Our star backcourt of Mintz and Starling missed 19 of 27 shots, committed 7 fouls and 8 turnovers. Their combined net points was zero. - Benny Williams disappeared after his early outburst, largely because of being on the bench. He played only 16 minutes. Despite 8 points and 4 rebounds. Why? - Naheem McCloud has a back problem that involves the use of a brace. Maliq Brown committed 4 fouls in 18 minutes and Peter Carey played just one minute, although it seemed an eternity. Isn’t Hima ready to play again? - Kyle Cuff missed a huge three that could have tied it at 42 after we’d fallen behind by 11 points. We never had a tying shot again. Kyle’s net points this year: 3, -3, -1 and -2 for a total of -3. - We got outrebounded by 15 and continues our habit of having no one go after offensive rebounds. We added 15 turnovers, negating their 16. - We also missed 9 of 17 foul shots. You can’t beat a top ten team doing that. And here comes another one.
