- We are 6-0 against non-power conference teams and 0-7 against power conference teams. Our remaining schedule is against nothing but power conference teams.

- Kyle Cuffe scored 14 points, 13 in the first half. But he did most of that from the line. He decided that he was a gunner and kept shooting and wound up 2 for 14 from the field and 1 for 8 from the arc. That’s not his role.

- Wake was a 26% shooting team from the arc going in: They shot 47% in this game. We couldn’t guard them man-to-man so we had to go to the zone and paid the price from outside. Meanwhile we were 5 for 22 (22.7%).

- We got off to another horrendous start, (3-19). We overcame that to take a 6 point lead in the second half but Wake had one more run in them and we didn’t.

- We had a ridiculous 13 first half turnovers. We cut that down to 5 in the second half but 18 is too many, especially after 21 in each of the prior two games.

- Chris Bell has now missed his last 18 three pointers, 38 short of DiMaggio.

- Choppa Moore scored 24 points on the #1 team in the country. He’s scored 36 in the six games since, none against ranked opponents, no points at all in the last two games. Why do our shooters fade?

We were up, 49-43. That's when Red should have called timeout and said, "it's our game to win, don't let them back in it. Tighten the defense." Instead, we give up two uncontested threes that tie the game. From that point, it was just a matter of time until we collapsed. He has no feel for the game.

And why does Donnie Freeman, the team's most talented player, spend so much time on the bench? He should play 35+ minutes. I'd prefer to see him push through his growing pains than watch Kyle Cuff miss another dozen shots and the other less skilled players flop around. Why Red didn't get him out of the game is unfathomable.

A quibble: I do not recall a single minute of zone defense.

Reds refusal to sub if someone starts hot hurts Donnie's minutes. That said I'm done giving Donnie guaranteed minutes. Being this teams most talented player is as low a bar as we can set. He needs to get a motor and impact the game in the minutes he gets. Right now he has more lost wrestling matches with PGs for loose balls than he has blocked shots.

Because it’s such a basic offense. All of these guys can drill threes in practice. Doing it off a bad pass, trying to get your feet set and shooting properly while a defender is either in your face or will be soon is a whole different animal.

Certainly see your point. Being the most talented player on this Orange team is like being the best hitter on the 2024 White Sox. At least DF should have some potential. Not many on that squad can claim that.

And I, along with others, thought that Bell had pro potential.
