The extra 17 seconds

I have spared myself reading most of the threads, was the clock malfunction discussed? The refs corrected the shot clock in the first half, but by my stopwatch the game clock was stopped for 17 seconds and I never saw it corrected. What gives? Did they fix it at a timeout or was that hot mess of a game 17 seconds longer than it needed to be?

So it was talked about or no? This seems like a pretty gigantic error for the officials to make. It didn't matter in this game, but imagine a game that comes down to a last possession and it somehow was allowed to have a full 17 seconds of phantom time in it.

So holy crap, that article is talking about a completely different instance than the one I noticed. Mine happened at, I think, 17:29 in the first half. The refs noticed the shot clock wasn't moving and stopped play to fix it but never addressed the game clock.

So all told the game was more than a minute longer than it should have been. This is the single biggest officiating error I have ever heard of. Can't believe nobody cares especially since it was our score keeper did it and thus it could presumably happen again.

Was the regular clock running while the shot clock was stopped during the 1st error? Or were both stopped?

Both stopped. They only corrected the shot clock.
