I think you could argue that at the time of his commitment, Servais has better offers than either of those guys did (Buffalo, Northern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Wyoming, Bowling Green, among a few others, as opposed to schools like Bucknell and Lafayette for Brouse, and Holy Cross and maybe UConn for DeGeorge, if I remember correctly). Heck, that's still a vastly better offer sheet than Brouse has, so let's not pretend Servais is a huge step down from Noel, for example. Plus, this is a kid that this staff has been following and recruiting for a long time now. Clearly they think he fits what they want, and after all, we did just bring them in to install what they want. They say this kid has the potential to help us get there, I'm all for it.
