In my "Net Points, etc." posts after each game one of the things I've been keeping track of is the score after each ten minutes of play. I've always wondered why high school and the NBA have quarterly breaks but college does not. But I really wanted to see how consistently we have played on offense and defend through various stages of the game. Here are the numbers for each game this season:
Quarterly Breaks

The games have tended to tighten up as they go along. We certainly are not "Wearing down" the other team. But through the NC State game we were winning the fourth quarters by an average of 19-15. Since then we have lost each fourth quarter by an average of 14- 23.5. And the trend is bad: -5, -3, -11, -15. It's only four games but let's hope that's all it is. Our knack of dominating down the stretch in games has not only evaporated. It has reversed itself.
