To me the game changed late in the first half. Sometime (I have to check my recording when) there was a sequence where a V defender bodied up on an SU player and prevented a score, bumped the rebounder to get the ball. Then on the other end, V player again bodied up on an Su player to score. Both actions were more aggressive/physical then anything they had done before then. It seemed after that they discovered that they could get away with pushing SU around without getting called for a foul. Think Pitt games. I remember thinking how could those thing no be a foul. It continued during the 2nd half and we know the final results. The lopsided foul total (until the final minutes when V was trying to foul) is reminiscent of Pitt games.
