The JV Squad is Trying To Cover Cuse's Ad at Yankee Stadium

"lets get NYC buzzing about UConn FB!"

My God, that's #*%ing hysterical.

Maybe they should schedule a UConn-Rutgers matchup. NYC heads will collectively explode over that one.

Finally after about 4-5 posts, someone ("Dooley") figured out that whoever messes with the sign might get tossed. Boy they're quick on the JV board. ;)

Such a cry for help.

I can't bring myself to click the link.

I feel like I should give them some spare change, or a sandwich. Something.

You know gets the attention of New Yorkers? A bunch of tourists in for the weekend traipsing about Manhattan in matching t-shirts.

I know we have great fans who make the trip into the city to watch Syracuse play, but the majority of our fans at NYC games take the subway or walk from their apartments in NYC. The vast majority of their fans pollute Metro North.

Tell them to remember to leave their TVs on when they go to the game.

That sign is worth every goddamn cent that Syracuse pays for it, just to see how annoying it is to other fan bases!!! I love it and wish we would buy an even bigger one in there!!!

Wouldn't doubt that one of our posters in NYC will be giving a heads up to stadium security and the nyc pd.

I'll laugh if they do it and get promptly kicked out. It must really bug them.

I spent a couple of days at my daughters in Greenwich, Conn. We went to a local bar, an Irish Pub for a couple. I had on my Syracuse jacket. We hadn't finished our drink when in walks a guy with a Syracuse cap on.

The next morning, we took the Metro into NYC. As soon as we got off the train at GCS, I saw a guy in a Syracuse jacket. We got a bagel and coffee at Grand Central and while munching I saw a guy in a Syracuse basketball shirt.

We took the subway down to Bowling Green station in lower Manhattan to see the new World Trade Center and then take the Staten Island Ferry. On the ferry, I saw another SU cap and when we got back to the ferry dock in lower Manhattan I saw another Syracuse Jacket.

What I didn't see in my time in Greenwich or Manhattan and I was amazed, was any UCONN or Rutgers gear. Just saying!

Lets not discourage them from the unintended comedy that this would provide.

if this were to be done the sign would be some bootleg spraypaint on a bed sheet type deal since noone actually produces large yukon banners. Thats funny to me. Aside from that it would look pathetic in a stadium where they're well out numbered. Those folks that out number them also happen to be past and present cadets who, have more of a right to claim NY as theirs and therefore, might take exception and kick random hero yukon fans arse.

Not only do you people have to come in from Connecticut, but your fans don't even know how to use Metro North according to a hilarious thread on your board.

If you guys want to "own" NYC, perhaps your fans might want to figure out public transportation.

This pre-dates you, but in the early 80's there was a (homeless?) guy on the corner of Marshall & S. Crouse (in front of, what was then, Baskin Robbins) who used the line "Do you have any spare change, cash or money I can borrow?".

It seems like Yukon and their ilk are heading down that path wrt their football predicament in relation to the P-5. Throwing them some spare change might be appropriate.

You're always so kind about my age.

That's not a bad tactic. For my money (which I always give), it's Eli and that guitar. Anyone who can just bust into Hello by Lionel Richie with no warning, yeah, he gets my money. I think I gave him $20 once.
