Since I am congenitally unable to post anything negative about SU players or coaches, I will confine my game-day observations to the tailgate.

Once again, the tailgate organizers did an unbelievable job in creating a great get-together for the 100 or so folks there. Great food (this time, bees was the grillmeister) supplied by many of the attendees. The jambalaya prepared by a relative of Consigliere was wonderful, as was the corn casserole from an unknown (by me) chef. And, thank you Jeremy for the promised red wine!

It was great seeing so many old friends, and meeting some new ones. Tailgate season in the Fine Lot is now officially over, but when they resume next year, I urge everyone to make them part of your game-day experience.

It was great seeing you too Joyce. That corn casserole was made by Nell, although Jeremy tried to take credit for it. I did the same thing last week and said jambalaya when it was gumbo that was made. That stuff went quick.

It was a great last tailgate of the season. More people attended than we expected which actually worked out great because we didn't walk away with much of anything to freeze or toss. Meats were gone as was 90% of the sides of which we had 5-6 trays of.

Thanks to gocazcuse and Jeremy for helping with the grilling. We had plenty of andouille sausage, burgers, hot dogs, coneys, gianelli sausage and brats flowing. Thanks to Nell for her two sides, to cajuncuse for the gumbo and consigliere and wife for the stuffed hot peppers. Was funny watching a newbie to them take a bite thinking it was a meatball or something. Also thanks to Lincolncuse for being the money man and anyone else that brought food or drinks.

Like I said in another thread, the tailgate was again better than the game. Not suppose to be that way. The tailgate is suppose to compliment the game, not be the highlight of the day.

Cajuncuse had a great idea that sometime in the spring we should go to a local park and have a big "tailgate" not related to a game. Just a day of eating and drinking and talking about our upcoming 10-2 football season. :)

Your being "congenitally unable to post anything negative about SU players or coaches" makes you Lady CTO, which I shall refer to you as from now on!

Nice to say Hi to you again Joyce. Tailgate was awesome. Thankyou Bees and everyone else involved with putting it on. My group of 10 had a blast. Oh, and those peppers were spicy! Thanks Consigliere!

Hope your group of 10 had a blast. They damn near ate all the sausage. :)

Why not the Spring game?
