It would be an interesting question to ask. I was thinking of asking it myself but had the above questions in mind all season.   He's pretty set in his ways. His stock answer is that the ball handling in this era, (there's usually a reference to how the teams he played on under Fred Lewis pressed for 40 minutes) is too good so the press doesn't work as well as it used to and he feels we're better off in a set defense. He unusually points out that very few coaches at this level, (he admits that a lot of teams run and press at lower levels), press much any more: Rick Pitino some and Shaka Smart a lot but most of them don't. So his answer would have to be that the ball handling in the women's game is not as good as the men's game. That's probably true but it might seem as if he was ripping the women's game by saying it so he might figure a delicate way of putting it.
