The long strange trip of Dock Ellis

ESPN-Outside the Lines. Pretty good article about the very odd Dock Ellis. I recently read Jane Leavy's biography on Mickey Mantle and then reading this article, there is no question that a lot of guys back in the day played very hungover or drunk or stoned or whatever. Ellis was a very good pitcher and quite the character.
