The Look on Your Face

Update: Lil Finn is making progress. He has a feeding tube but apparently Avocados were a hit. He is up to 15lbs. Finn has a wonderful Mom. Thankful for all the prayers and positive thoughts. Still many battles ahead.

Wow!!! Great pictures. Fight hard little man, we are going to need you when you are 18 to keep our seventeen year win streak intact.

So cute Mark. Hoping the future though challenging, brings him only more health and beautiful smiles to look forward to.
He had surgery about 4 weeks ago. It lasted 3.5-4 hours. The primary reason was to insert the feeding tube and repair a double hernia. They also checked out his airway/esophagus. There is some stenosis (narrowing) but they feel he'll literally grow out of that. Since he was delivered 2nd term he didn't get Mom's immunity of diseases. He is basically quarantined in their house until flu season is over. His Grandma is heading up in 8 days...hoping she stays free of colds. If she has one...she'll have to cancel the trip (thankful for SWA's policy) . If Finn catches a cold he most likely would be admitted to a hospital and possibly have a tracheotomy and that brings its own issues.

When you've talked yourself into seeing 6 wins this season.View attachment 111924

BTW, my grandson on the way home after nearly 5 months in the NICU. He was born at 24.5 weeks and 1lbs 9oz.

We are blessed as a family...looks like only the feeding is an issue right now. Hopefully he will grow out of it. That is a feeding tube proving supplemental breast milk.
Just made my day. Congrats!
