James Southerland his combined line is 11-14fg 5-7 3fg 3-7ft 30pts 14rebs 2 assist 2TOs 2stl 3blks in 56mins. And he has by far the best +/- on the team.

Our zone will keep us in games but we need to score and James spaces the floor better and anyone on the team because he brings a big away from the paint which helps the guards and when he is hitting his threes he can shoot over the opposing team's zone.

Agree in the sense that when James goes off we really seem to roll.

Problem is that he has been very inconsistant this season & here have been too many games that we have had to win wo his doing much.

Where do you access +/- data?

BTW, JS was my #2 factor in NCAA success.

If James keeps this up we will go very, very, very far...

The biggest thing that has made Dirty so important is his vastly improved rebounding. He's been sooooo much better in that regard lately. His shot blocking has been big too.

I was doing the +/- from the my DVR but I didnt record the end of the of the UNC ashville game. But he was literally on the floor for every run. Dion was in for much of the second half run on KSt.

That is what keeps him on the floor JB pulls every time he doesn't rebound but check out how many passes he tips in the zone. Many of them does show up on the box score or the steal is credited to whomever grabs the loose ball.

I agree Jekelish. The thing I am most encouraged about (besides his shooting) is that he now plays more like CJ, meaning he seems to be putting himself in better positions around the rim. He is so quick off his feet that if he gets himself into good positions and gets stronger he could become a monster. Imagine him with 10-15 more pounds of muscle.. Then he has to work on his handle lol.

That may be true, but he also can dribble the ball!, and he is getting baskets down under, blocking shots, making plays: his overall game (BB IQ?) has come a long ways in one yr. If he can only get more consistent on the 3s, which he is certainly capable of doing.

I agree with many comments here. JS has been something of a savior, making the contributions that we would normally expect from CJ. I'd still like to see Fair get going even if it means Southerland plays less because CJ is a greater threat to get to the rim and draw fouls. But there's no denying it, James has been fantastic as of late.

Yeah, he may not grab a ton of boards, but he's always mixing it up and he gets a hand in there a lot which may not seem remarkable but keeping someone from grabbing it clean allows the D to recover. He's also shown a penchant for recovering and blocking shots around the rim - ala Wes Johnson.

He's always been an intriguing player and when he's on he certain makes a lot more formidable. Would be very excited to see him and CJ put it together on the same day. The rebounding is huge for us because KJo has been throwing up 1's and 0's recently in that category. Although admittedly he usually isn't that bad.
