Consider this:

Grey’s Anatomy: Chapel Hill

There are 65 teams considered to be “Power-5” teams. There were a combined 113 players that were listed as “out for the season” due to injury amongst those 65 teams. That would give you an average of about 1.7 players per team that are out for the season. How about at UNC? Well, they currently have 15 players listed as “out for the season,” or about nine times more than the national average. That also means that 13% of the players on Power-5 teams that are out for the season due to injury are Tar Heels.

Injuries are tough but if you have the depth at that particular position you can survive but as you wrote, not at the UNC level of injuries though...that's a rough one.

And they looked like they had 15 starters out for the season in their game against GTech.

I wonder how many UNC players can get a medical redshirt because of their injuries? They'll be loaded when they play SU if they can.

still we are sitting with 4-5 starters out for this extended period so above then norm . hopefully not out for the season though.

15 though is a crazy number

UNC is like that Monty Python knight that keeps getting things cut off and stills continues to battle.

Of course they will be loaded when they play us

We seem to play our cross division opponents during years where they are playing at a high level and going to big bowl.

For UNC this may be the proverbial blessings in disguise. Take the hit this year but come back loaded and experienced the next couple of seasons

Yeah...VT and then Miami and next year UNC...tough games indeed.

Dorthy, we are not in the Big East (Kansas) anymore...that's for sure.

we haven't complained because we've been ok so far. But we can feel their pain for sure. Injuries isn't an excuse though, I've read it here a 100x
