Not as many college students as you think would have 6 year olds at the game with them so the prprobably don't think about that. I just went with "ear muffs"I don't know why removing vulgarity makes something less fun. What I think is fun, is being able to take a 6 year old to a game without hearing the crowd repeatedly add R rated words to a song/chant that is just fine without it. I also thinks it's fun to be creative about taunting the opposing team without reducing yourself to vulgarity.
It's a cool tradition that doesn't really need the added lyrics.
I wouldn't expect college students to think about that. Since the university wants to draw spectators from the community, they do think about it. Regardless, vulgarity isn't necessary to make a song/chant fun, so why not make it so everyone can participate, including kids? How often have people suggested making games accessible to kids so we can grow the fanbase? Let's not give parents a reason to leave them at home. Not as many college students as you think would have 6 year olds at the game with them so the prprobably don't think about that.
