But they were better than only three teams. Only one of 30 teams won less than 30 games and that was the Columbus Blue Jackets with 29. In the playoffs, the Rangers beat the Senators and Capitals and the Devils beat the Panthers and Flyers before the Devils beat the Rangers in a six-game conference final. They then lost to the LA Kings in a six game Stanley Cup final.
