they are watching extra close on Steve Ishmael on his receptions. Some of his push offs are really slight as I have seen other receivers in this league at times gives a bigger push off and not called.

That one reception on the Sideline as more acting than the slight touch to his hip as the guy rolled ten yards down the field.

Had a lot of friends (USC/UGA/UF) tell me they thought the refs were unfair to Ishmael. A lot of texts about "bs calls on your WR".

Now USC and UGA fans had a big reason to root for us last night but it's not just us thinking he's getting jobbed a bit.

I personally thought the officiating was fine last night. It was a tightly called game both ways. They had 119 penalty yards to our 100.
I thought the officiating was ok but they were rough on Ish. I have no issue if they call that OPI on him for the TD if they call Clemsons DB for hanging over him all game. They didn't except for the obvious one where he got tackled.

The BS offensive PI call on Ishmael was a monumental one. Instead of a Touchdown and 21-7 Orange, the next play it's a fumble return for a touchdown and 14-14.

Not to mention the scissor slam on Dungey at the goal line that the refs thought was just fine to do. SU was an inch from the endzone and had to settle for a field goal.

Syracuse kicked Clemson's ass last night. Clemson is lucky it was only a 3 point differential in the end.

I appreciate that it was an evenly called game by the refs. But 100 yards in penalties is unacceptable. Have to clean that up.

Well, 15 were for a ridic celebration penty on the opening drive against #2 on a TD

Nothing to clean up there except the ACC officiating mentality

I thought that our ball spots were terrible.

They shorted us by about 1-2 feet on a number of plays, even big ones. I know 12-24" doesn't sound like a lot, but football is a game of inches.

And like the above, I thought that they screwed over Ish.

IMHO, the zebras tried to give Clemson the W. I don't blame them. It's probably better for the conference payout. But it's still frustrating as a fan. Regardless, we won, so it's water under the bridge.

Be careful saying the truth. The Clemson defenders in this site are liable to come out of the woodwork at you.

Ha, I was sitting next to a Clemson fan for that phantom call on Ish. "That was nothing" was his comment.

Absolutely right about how critical that sequence was. Without it, this is quite simply not a close football game.

Clemson got worked. The game wasn't anywhere close to being as tight as the score.

The non-call on the pass interference against Erv was atrocious. I mean how do you grab the guy as he's turning to try and catch the ball then there is no penalty. That was mind boggling.

Holding at the very least and it was obvious. Dino now report that in your review.

THIS x 1,000!!! I was convinced the refs had the in for us after that egregious non-call. Absolutely terrible!

I read though Alabamas forum thread on the game. Also biased I know, but they were also complaining about the bad calls piling up in SU.

It was ticky tack but I think we are over reacting due to the following play. If we hadn't fumbled and instead converted a 1st down (pretty sure Strick was close to the line to get) it would have been forgotten.

This is the first game in a long time I remember us not winning TO's, not dominating special teams, not getting calls and still winning straight up against a more talented team.

WVU 2011 and LVille 2012 we both finished + in TO's and had some great special teams play that allowed us to win.

The only possible thing I can think of is that the ref thought the ball was not catchable. That's all I got.

Thought Ish got away with a lot of grabbing throughout the game. The push-off on the touchdown might have been a make-up for the fact the he mugged the DB on the previous play but the DB somehow got called for PI.

I think he twisted his ankle thus went down and the ref thought Ish was pushing off. Amazing how they can hang onto him and that is ok but he fights them off and it's a penalty.

I thought they definitely got their feet tied up on that one, but no way was that a push off that resulted in the kid going that far.

Thought OL #73 on Clemson moved early like 3 times, one on a critical 3rd down play.
