is if battle and lydon both return next year. for the love of god, no more grad transfers. there is absolutely no reason for Andrew white to play 30+ minutes for Syracuse. i'd rather have bj Johnson as a junior than Andrew white. it is impossible to know what the locker room dynamics are, but it is also impossible to think that the grad transfers haven't affected returning players, specifically lydon and Roberson.

white can catch and shoot, he literally does nothing else. he doesn't defend, he doesn't rebound, he can't handle the ball and he can't pass. did you see how awkward he looked on that fast break play where he ended getting fouled in the first half? holy jesus I cant believe we tried to play this guy as a 2. he made the three to tie it but he missed like 5 in a row before that. I would have rather played Roberson 30 minutes in this game, he probably would have had a double-double and fouled out brimah.

I was completely optimistic about the grad thing - if Boeheim thought those were the pieces he urgently needed to win in his last year, perfect. He's the expert.

Never want to see it again. White's here for a very transparent (and unsuccessful) NBA audition. If he's not great, what's the point? You've got a guy who admittedly won't be able to learn the nuances of the only defense we play and seems not to have any chemistry with his teammates (assuming he's got the skills to make them better, which doesn't seem to be the case). Hustle guy who doesn't know where to be on defense and a standstill shooter...sounds like a less experienced version of the guard who graduated from Syracuse last spring.

Gillon was exciting against the JV teams, but for the past two weeks he's showed nothing that Kaleb Joseph didn't.

Roberson is terrible. What game are you watching?

i'm basing it on the past. you know, the actual program kid that has been here and played well in the past on teams that won. not the loser chucker grad transfer that never won and shows up here at the last possible minute and for some reason is playing. I thought cooney was bad in the open court. this dude is a straight up statue. in fact, I think the ernie davis statue in the quad could guard him.

I doubt the reason Lydon and Roberson are playing so terribly is because the grad transfers being added to the team has hurt their feelings.
