This feels like a test. The end of this season will demonstrate how much respect the AD has for its alums and fans. Vs how much respect it has for a spreadsheet. Louisville was very recently a joke and now it’s second in the conference. St John’s is in the top 10. I’m not in the camp of those who believe we can never return to greatness or that it will take a decade. That is only true if we stay the course, practice ”patience,” have faith, and wallow in complacency.

If there’s any respect for US, it will be shown in change. Change at the end of this season, not next or even further into the delusional timeline. But, writing this was just an exercise. Decline was tolerated for too long under JB and that’s our identity now, more than all the successes we have had.

Kids are the future. And we squandered a legacy. Kids don’t own music anymore and they don’t know an era of good Syracuse basketball. A pity.
