Face-offs, ground balls, turnovers.

It was a young team and hopefully with more experince and physical training they will be a top level team again. But this was a rebuilding year. Maybe some of these players will play on another title team someday.

Agreed, we did grow up towards the end of the season. We need some playmakers on O a stud at the x and for our new frosh goalie to continue to grow. I think next year we are much improved

Preseason #7/8 ... finished out of the top 8. :(

Never solved the /O issue.

Defense was young.

Hopefully DeJohn and Grimm are as good as advertised.

As a baseball manager once said "Oh those bases on balls!" I see faceoffs the same way.

and short stick middie D

Today it really showed that one of our sr. midfielders stood around like a human statue when he didn't have the ball in his stick.
noticed that on a couple of times it really stopped the flow of the offense as the attack had to reverse the ball because he was just standing there on the side where the attackman wanted to run the play.

i just wish the draft was after the season

But this was a rebuilding year.

A rebuilding year is when we lose in the title game. We used to make the Final Four every year, and now we get knocked out in the first round? Unacceptable.

this basically a three year trend going on now,how does gross remedy this situation. we lost twice in the 1st. round and the quaterfinals last year.

as our talent level drops,it's exposing the coaching even more, and when it counts the most.

we are losing two of our best attackmen and some experience at mid-field,more then you think.the trend is not looking good.

We have to replace Desko, Palasek, Eilers, and Drew.

It's not like we're losing a Gait or a Powell.

also collin donohue who at times was the first sub at attack and joe moore who brought a lot of stick skills and speed at long stick middie.

two very different era's you are comparring here.....back in the day we did have legitimate A.A. waiting in the wings. last year there was 92 players who made the A.A. list

We're not losing any Tewaaraton Finalists. We'll be OK.

Rebounding in basketball would be a closer comparison.

Was watching the Denver-North Carolina game, and my "takeaway" from that game was that those teams are faster and more athletic than SU. That same can be said about Duke (faster and more athletic). So I think this team's problems run deeper than just face-offs although face-offs are obviously a significant problem.
