My point was that the level of instability, from remaining loyal as the program plummets, is tough to manage.  None of these guys are vagabonds on their fourth or fifth stop.  Griff and Red have a few years at Dayton and VPI while Gmac has never coached anywhere else.

Maybe all three of them are in a place where they won't mind uprooting their family in a few years for another high level assistant coaching gig somewhere else that is likely more expensive to live.

That's the dice they're rolling remaining loyal and riding the Boeheim wave until it reaches shore.  Nothing wrong with it and not saying they're making a mistake.

But the uncertainty that accompanies it (where will their next opportunity be and will it be a good fit for their wife and children) takes a toll on people not used to it (i.e. not coaching vagabonds).
