The receivers have to improve their blocking

If McDonald is going to keep running the quick outs, the receivers have to improve their blocking. It's a fight to get through 2 guys almost right away and once this improves we will be seeing points galore.

For a while, I thought Scott Spence was calling the plays

It was Spence like, especially in the first two series. I'm hoping we see better execution on those plays or it's time to make that throw a lot less often.

Yeah, Drew Allen got stuck with some rotten play calling in those series. (Of course, Terrel Hunt far outshined him, regardless of the play calling).

Really the only argument in favor of Allen was the play calling

I hate that play. A receiver with one blocker vs. about 5-6 defenders. Later they ran a play that looked similar except the receiver was going forward and the quarterback led him. It got about 8 yards. Moving instead of standing there seemed to make all the difference.
