Most definitely was not a strong officiated game. Bad and missed calls both ways but some how they always seem to end up hurting Syracuse a bit more. Could have been worse if it ended 2/3 point game.

Do we really want the refs to call a lot of fouls?

A lot? No. But they should certainly be capable of calling the obvious ones.

Yes. I would take two full seasons of quick whistles for everyone if long term it meant that the college game opens back up.

I prefer a wide open game (against Duke). I prefer a tightly called game against the clutch-and-grabs (Pitt, Clemson, etc). But in last night's game, whichever way its called, grabbing a kids arm and shorts on a fast break, 0r busting through (Rak's) arms when he was shooting right in front of the basket --- um yeah those should be called by any officials doing HS games and above. And they occurred at a critical time in the game -- the last few minutes when we were coming back and D's lead was 4-6 points.

However, as upset as I was with the unbelievably bad no-calls on our players, Duke was the better team last night. They have better balance and more talented players. They were +10 on the glass. They turned up their defense in the second half and we struggled to score down the stretch. And our guards allowed REPEATED penetrations ... which gave them easy points AND padded Oakafor's scoring totals.

That was prison rules yesterday. I thought we were in the ACC now?
