The Return if Rico

Outside of "Rico Suave," Gerardo was also in an underrated '80s teen comedy, "Can't Buy Me Love." Yeah, whatever happened to that guy?;)

I first thought this guy. Boy, would be nice to have him grabbing boards. He's going to break Brandon Ingram in half when they meet.

I love that movie. Was a big fan of Cindy Mancini, so far as I remember. :)

Back on topic, if The mojo inspiring Rico made an appearance in warmups, I would be very confident about the outcome of the game Friday.

I was thinking this thread might be about the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, and that it would finally uses it's powers for good against the NCAA, instead of the usual subversion of liberty.

Anyone know if Mannys is selling a Rico jersey yet? I need to start Reppin' Rico

the taking on of the mob is a subversion of liberty?

No, nor is being "patriotic", even though most Americans have little idea what the word actually means, and the "Patriot" act certainly subverts liberty in ways even the common sports fan can understand and even care about now. If one wanted to to understand, you could google(i actually prefer duckduckgo and not being profiled) "rico act subversion of liberty", or if you were truly interested I could do it for you being I am happy to help folks understand such things. Truth is, I'm not overly familiar with this act and how it is sometimes abused, being I rarely here about it. I can't remember the last time I thought about it before this thread.

Let me ask you a quick question though. Was the mob not doing anything illegal that they could have been arrested for before another one of these not-narrowly defined laws was enacted?

I put emphasis on the lack of narrow definitions, because the federal income tax(albeit it never properly ratified, voluntary, and not backed by one federal law that anyone can show per 50k annual challenge printed nationally) originally gained support by being billed as for only the very wealthy. It's kinda like that "when they came at me" poem where nobody was left to defend the guy, as he didnt care enough to defend all of the other people who weren't him. There are a few of us who can see the selfish benefit in defending others who seem unconnected to ourselves, and/or feel good about helping strangers and defending liberty in general.

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams We all have our purpose Dasher! (epic rant ended!)
